Habitat for Humanity &
The Tennessee Housing Development Agency
Since 2008, Habitat for Humanity of Tennessee and the Tennessee Housing Development Agency (THDA) have worked side by side to expand access to affordable homeownership and strengthen communities across the state. Through this partnership, 457 homes have been built, representing $60 million in total development. THDA has invested $9.5 million through its Housing Trust Fund Program, while Habitat affiliates have leveraged an additional $50.5 million in grants, donations, volunteer labor, and in-kind contributions to make these homes possible.
In fiscal year 2025, the THDA Housing Trust Fund provided $500,000 to support the construction of 20 new homes across Tennessee. These homes—collectively appraised at $5.4 million, with an average value of $266,000—now provide safe, stable housing for 58 Tennesseans.
This work is a testament to what we can achieve together. Every home represents stability, opportunity, and hope for the future. Together, we build brighter futures for families across Tennessee. We are deeply grateful for THDA’s continued partnership and commitment, and we look forward to creating even more opportunities for homeownership, stronger communities, and lasting impact in the years ahead.
